Diego Félix of Austria, Infante of Spain (August 15, 1575 – November 21, 1582) was the third son of Philip II of Spain by his fourth wife Anna of Austria.

Life

At the time of his birth, Diego's elder brother, Prince Ferdinand, was still the heir. However, Ferdinand died in 1578, and Diego became Prince of Asturias, crown prince of Spain. In 1580 his father acceded as King of Portugal, making Diego heir of that realm also, but he himself died when he was seven years old. His younger brother Philip acceded as prince and later became Philip III of Spain.

In 1580, king Philip II planned to betroth Diego with one of daughters of John, Duke of Braganza and Catherine of Portugal.
